Window cleaning with the Reach and Wash system is a relatively new way of cleaning windows, but it has revolutionised the window cleaning industry.By using the Reach and Wash system, windows can be cleaned more efficiently and without the use of chemicals. It is generally quicker than traditional methods, saving us time and ultimately saving our clients money. Using the Reach and Wash system we are able to offer high level window cleaning without the need to hire expensive platforms or having to use abseil window cleaning methods. This factor also reduces the cost of window cleaning for our clients. The Reach and Wash system also ensures that there are minimal health and safety risks, our operatives can clean your windows, signs and fascias all from the safety of the ground.
The prices above are guide prices only. Prices may vary depending on the size/ style of your windows. Prices based on 4 or 8 weekly cleaning. Additional costs for conservatory’s.
The water fed pole method cleaning is quickly becoming the industry standard and offers many benefits over traditional methods.
1). Better cleaning results. The major advantage of pure water is its desire to return to its impure state; hence its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from your windows. This process involves brushing your windows clean with pure water, as such, they will be left wet and will need time to dry naturally.
2). Health and safety. Legislation now limits the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered. Accidents happen, and if we can offer the same service while standing on the ground, so much the better.
3). Environmentally friendly. Pure water only is used, eliminating the need for detergents and chemicals.
4). Reduced disturbance. No more ladders being placed against your property, no more moving garden furniture to accommodate ladders, and no more holes in your lawn from ladder feet.
5). Windows will stay cleaner. The absence of sticky soap residue means that dirt will find it harder to cling to your windows, hence your windows stay cleaner for longer.
6). As your windows will be brushed clean almost unavoidably your frames will be cleaned at the same time
7). We can now reach with ease previously inaccessible aspects of your property. Third floor windows, conservatory roofs, windows above conservatory’s that had to be previously left.
First cleans: Please note that over the space of two or three visits the process will `leach` all deposits from around the frames, resulting in an improved finish each time, until ultimately the finish will effectively be sterile. Please be patient if the initial visit is not perfect, as this is largely dependent on the age, style, and condition of the windows, all of which are out of our control.
We have been running our company for 10 years now and have seen nearly all the different weather conditions possible in the UK. Many people automatically assume that if it’s raining, then there is no point in cleaning windows, but this is not the case. Unless the weather is especially bad or it is unsafe to carry out a clean then you can still expect to see your window cleaner.
As we are all aware it rains a lot in the UK, but this shouldn’t affect window cleaning. Rainwater is extremely pure and it does not stain your windows. In fact due to the extremely low or negligible levels of contaminants in rainwater, it is more suited to cleaning windows than tap water.
Generally speaking if your windows are dirty following a rain shower, it is because the windows were dirty to begin with, the water simply stuck to the dirt and became contaminated, making the dirt more visible once the windows had dried. If rainwater comes into contact with a clean window, it will either just sheet off or evaporate once the rain has stopped.
The only real exception to this is when the rain is heavy in conjunction with high winds, in this scenario the windows are likely to be wet for an extended period. Although that in itself isn’t a problem, the high winds allow dirt and debri to be repeatedly blown on to the windows, this dirt can then stick resulting in a sub-optimal finish. On the rare occasion that the weather is this bad, it will usually become unsafe to operate our telescopic poles. For this reason we won’t be around anyway.
Rest assured that if you do see us, we have determined that the weather is fine to continue providing our service as usual.
Our main method of payment is via GoCardless, this can be set up using the following link https://www.kwcleans.com/make-payment/ . For other payment methods please contact us at [email protected] Payment terms: 7 days.
1.1 Cleaning frequency
We offer 4 or 8 weekly window cleaning schedules. We will always aim to be on time but some flexibility may be required at times due to especially bad weather, bank holidays, etc, that may cause us to be a day or two late.
1.2 Cleaning hours
We carry out domestic window cleaning from 8AM – 5PM Mon-Fri, and 9AM – 4PM Sat.
Due to the volume of both commercial/domestic work, along with Cambridge traffic, we cannot provide specific times that we will be on site. However, feel free to text your window cleaner for an ETA on the day.
1.3 Access around your property
If requested by the customer, we will send a text reminder the day before we are due round asking for access to be provided around the property. We also ask that you ensure that all your windows and doors are closed when we visit, failure to do so may result in windows being missed.
1.4 Bad Weather
One of the many benefits of the reach and wash cleaning method, is its ability to clean in mostly all types of weather. As such, barring the worst of the British weather, you can expect to see your window cleaner as usual. Please click here for more information regarding all weather cleaning.
We will always try to provide you with the best possible service every time we clean your windows. If for any reason, you are not satisfied with our work, you must contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will then schedule a free re-clean to rectify any issues. Please note, complaints made after 24 hours may not be re-cleaned.
1.6 Skipping/ postponing a scheduled clean
We will try to be as reliable as we can for you, but we also appreciate our customers being reliable. We will make time and space in our schedule available for you. On the day of the clean, or in reply to your text reminder, it is too late for us to replace your clean with another. We reserve the right if turning our team away at the door or cancelling on short notice, to charge you the full price expected and/or cancel any ongoing service with us.
1.7 Ending our services
If for any reason you should wish to cancel our services, you have the right to do so at any time. This can be done by email to [email protected] However, as one off window cleans are charged at a higher rate than maintenance cleans, a cancellation charge of £20.00 will be payable if cancelled before a second clean has taken place.
